It’s been on my bucket list to photograph a Thorncrown Chapel wedding and thanks to Hope and Jorge my dream came true. They picked a magnificent place to get married at and I couldn’t be any more happy. The chapel has been called “one of the finest religious spaces of modern times” designed by E.Fay Jones. It was seriously so dreamy and tranquil.
I should have probably started this blog with how special this wedding is to me. I knew Hope since she was 18 and she immediately said that I’d be shooting her wedding. I didn’t take it seriously but years passed and she gets engaged to the love of her life and here I am flying to Arksanas to capture her day. It was truly an honor to be there.
We started the wedding day before the sunrise with breakfast at the hotel. Hope had the same dress on that she wore to their first date. How cute is that?! We snapped a few photos of them stuffing their faces with pancakes and let me say these two are characters and it’s never a dull moment with them as you can tell.
Hope got ready at the Crescent Hotel that has rich history. You can read all about it on their website but let me say one thing – they have Ghost Tours which already says a lot : )
Hope did her own hair and make up and it was fabulous! What a talent, there are not many things out there that she can’t do!
New last name embroidered on the back of your jacket? Heck YEAH!
This was our last photo of the night as you can tell. Hope was ready to leave for their honeymoon and I couldn’t stop taking photos ha ha
