Stephanie and George’s wedding at The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, Florida was one of my favorite weddings to date. I met them two years ago when I photographed Stephanie’s sister’s wedding. I was honored and excited that Stephanie wanted me to be a part of her big day as well.
If you’ve never experienced a Greek wedding before, add it to your bucket list. It was even better than the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”. Stephanie and George are one of the most joyful couples I’ve ever met, so it’s no surprise they had a huge wedding party… 34 people to be exact! Even so, we managed to stay on schedule and have tons of fun!
The ceremony took place at a beautiful Greek Orthodox church, followed by a stunning reception at the Flagler Museum. Everyone should visit the Flagler Museum at some point. When it comes to historic estates, it doesn’t get much better. The ballroom we were in felt like a scene from Beauty and the Beast. Not to mention, the breathtaking sunsets outside the Flagler Museum make my job as a photographer 100 times easier.
My favorite part of the event had to be the Greek dancing. As part of a Greek wedding tradition, Stephanie and George had dollar bills thrown at them throughout the entire reception. It was as fun as it sounds. I’m so glad I got to be a part of Stephanie and George’s incredible day!
