You haven’t really experienced a barn wedding until you’ve seen a wedding at the Honeysuckle Hill Barn. It has all the dreamy, southern charm you crave with the modern luxuries that make you feel like a princess.
As one of Asheville’s most popular wedding venues, I’m always excited when I’m asked to photograph a wedding there. Not to mention, Candace at Mingle Events manages it, and she is a total rockstar wedding planner who I love to work with!
Honeysuckle Hill Barn is SO incredible that Meg and Mike actually flew there all the way from Switzerland, where they live for work and school! They are one of the most adventurous couples I’ve ever met.Â
After they booked me for their wedding, I started following their adventures on social media. Every weekend they’d explore another city or country in Europe. They were seriously living my dream, so by the time the wedding arrived, I felt like I knew them so well.Â
Both Meg and Mike got ready at the beautiful Hotel Indigo in downtown Asheville. They traveled to Honeysuckle Hill Barn for their first look and photos. It’s also where the ceremony was held. One of the many reasons I love Honeysuckle Hill Barn is for the incredible lighting. It makes for breathtaking photos.
The reception was equally beautiful and fun! The cake was one of the most unique wedding cakes I’ve ever seen. And guests said it was the best cake they’ve ever tasted. (Shout out to Cakes by Gray!)
Meg looked absolutely stunning the entire day. My favorite hair stylist Zhenya did her hair. And Pop Of Color did a fantastic job on everyone’s make up.Â
It’s amazing the magic that happens when so many talented people come together to give a couple their dream wedding day. I’m so thankful this is what I get to do! Happy ever after, Meg and Mike!
