The charmingly restored Ribault Club in Jacksonville, Florida, was such a lovely setting for Leah and Brennan’s wedding. The couple live in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Ribault Club felt like so many beautiful old southern homes that you see there. The Ribault Club made if feel like Brennan and Leah brought a little bit of Charleston with them to Jacksonville—it was the perfect place for the couple’s storybook southern wedding. Brennan is a doctor and Leah is a nurse—can you say match made in heaven? I love Leah’s style—it was classic, soft, simple, and understated. Brennan was a dashing complement for her in his dapper blue suit. Brennan and Lee exchanged their vows under an old oak tree draped in Spanish moss in front of the Ribault club, and then took their first dance surrounded by their closest friends and family on the lawn out front. What a dream. Almost all of the first dances that we shoot are inside in ballrooms. This one was a little different from usual which made it so special to be outside in the springtime.
The forecast called for rain, but we were so blessed not to have a single drop all day. The light and the weather came together, and everything went off without a hitch and made for beautiful photos and a wonderful ceremony and reception for everyone. In the golden light of the afternoon, Leah and Brennan shared the beginning of an entirely new chapter of their story together in such a gorgeous venue that fit their style so well.
Leah and Brenna, thank you so much for letting us be part of your special day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and success together!
