Does it get any better than a destination wedding at South Seas Island Resort in Captiva? No, I don’t think it does! Neither did Megan and Jake, whose families have both been coming to the beautiful South Florida resort for vacation since they were little.
Even though Megan and Jake didn’t officially meet until they were older, there’s speculation they may have been in the same kids camp at South Seas resort over the many summers their families spent there. It would be so fun to go back in time and see if their paths ever crossed as children. It’s stories like these that make it feel like a small world!
In light of their history, South Seas Island Resort was the perfect destination wedding location for Megan and Jake. We got to meet them and take their engagement photos in Philadelphia, where they live.
They are one of those couples we felt an instant chemistry with, and we knew that their wedding would be a blast. Megan works for Free People, so it makes sense that she has the cutest style ever! I loved her designer wedding dress. It was so unique and so her!
One of the things I loved about this wedding was the opportunity to work with Jet Set Wed. I had been dying to work with them, and it was a truly incredible experience.
The wedding was one of a kind. I loved the circle arch they used for the ceremony, with the beautiful Gulf of Mexico as the perfect backdrop. They also had a candlelit dinner under the open skies.
All of that, combined with the fact that Megan and Jake both look like they could be real life models, made it a destination wedding for the books! I’m so thankful I got to be a part of their big day at the South Seas Island Resort.
