If you want a dreamy NYC wedding, the Foundry is the perfect place. I had the privilege of photographing a wedding there recently for the most gorgeous couple. When I saw them on the day of the wedding, Andrew and Elizabeth were both glowing with excitement. The first day of the rest of their lives had finally arrived. And they had chosen a venue that was just as beautiful as their love for each other.
The Foundry is a gorgeous 19th century brick building. What was an abandoned, industrial space 40 years ago is now a breathtaking, unique wedding venue. The ground floor and mezzanine made for the perfect space for the ceremony. But of course, we had to take stunning photos of the couple in the ivy-covered courtyard. It is no surprise that many movies and TV shows have been filmed at the Foundry, including Gossip Girl. The couple’s wedding invitations had been custom made to include a watercolor painting of the incredible venue.
Andrew and Elizabeth’s reception was to die for. In the picturesque courtyard of the Foundry, the couple dined and danced with their closest friends and family. The place settings, centerpieces, and wedding cake all looked as if they were straight out of a bridal magazine. As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of weddings. This one was one for the books.
Well in to the evening, the Foundry was filled with dancing, champagne, laughter, and memories that would last a lifetime. Andrew and Elizabeth had a blast celebrating with their loved ones. The best man and made of honor shared heartwarming toasts to honor the couple. With such a gorgeous wedding, Andrew and Elizabeth couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin their new lives together.
